Raising money by walking in the park

0

WARRINGTON Disability Partnership is to host a “Walk in the Park” next month – and those taking part will be able to raise funds for a charity of their choice through sponsorship.
The event on Sunday, September 22, will start from WDP’s Centre for Independent Living on Beaufort Street and then head into Sankey Valley Park.
The distance involved is three miles – and walkers can choose to make it a casual stroll or a brisk walk.
Start time is 10am and the walkers will return to Beaufort Street where a variety of stalls will be serving refreshments.
There will also be games and other activities for all ages.
Registration is £5 and all walkers will receive a medal and certificate.
All funds raised on the day – apart from any sponsorship raised for individual groups – will go towards supporting the work of WDP.
Further details can be found on the website disabilitypartnership.co.uk or by contacting the WDP fundraising team on 01925 240064
