THE Summer Camp at Golden Square Shopping Centre is back by popular demand from today, Thursday (August 1).
Children are invited to get involved in craft workshops, giant games and circus style activities throughout the month-long carnival-themed event.
A big-top teepee film tent will be showing a variety of family films, including Brave, Toy Story 3, Madagascar 3 and much more, twice a day at 11.30am and 2pm.
CBeebies’ favourite Mr Bloom will also be making an appearance on August 4 for free family shows at 12:00pm and 2:30pm.
Grown-ups can relax with the newspaper or magazine in ‘Parents’ Patch’ whilst taking advantage of mobile services from Golden Square retailers.
Staff at Golden Square have been brushing up on their circus skills, including juggling, plate-spinning and balloon-modelling, after lessons from professional clown, Paul ‘Scoop’ Dawson, to keep the kids entertained as well as teach children the skills themselves.
Ian Cox, General Manager at Golden Square, said: “We’re really looking forward to Summer Camp this year. It was a great success last year and I think this year will be even better.
“We decided to revamp it and give it a carnival/circus spin. So, expect bright colours, big tops and plenty of clowning around!”
