A FAMILY and Young People’s Guide to the Rugby League World Cup 2013 has been distributed to all primary school children in Warrington.
The Halliwell Jones Stadium will host a group match between New Zealand and Samoa on Sunday October 27 (6pm) and one of the quarter-finals, on Sunday November 17 (3pm).
The guide includes a family friendly map of all the main venues hosting events, details of summer festivals and LiveWire summer camps, march to the match routes, information about how to become a volunteer and a fantastic ticket offer.
Jan Souness, chair of the local RLWC group, said: “We know parents will be getting lots of information from schools at this time so we want to let them know to keep an eye out for this!
“It includes details of how families and children of all ages can get involved and enjoy the World Cup experience and it will be a very handy tool to have when the tournament comes to Warrington in October.
“We have just hit the 100 days to go mark and we want to keep building the excitement. We know Warrington is a loyal rugby town and we can’t wait to see the community come together to celebrate this global sporting event.”
You can get your hands on a copy of the guide at Contact Warrington, whilst stocks last, or view it online at www.warrington.gov.uk/rlwc2013.
