WARRINGTON Town manager Shaun Reid is delighted to have captured the signature of former Ashton United skipper Craig Robinson which he described as a “major coup” for the club.
The central defender, who briefly took over as manager at Ashton United, where he starred since 2008, playing 176 games, scoring 11 goals, chose Warrington above a number of other clubs playing at a higher level.
Reid enthused “This is a major coup for Warrington Town to get a player of this quality and experience.”
After taking over as manager at Ashton in May, Robinson, decided it was too much for a 30-year-old who just wants to concentrate on playing football.
Robinson is expected to make his debut for Town in tomorrow night’s (Tuesday) pre-season friendly against 1874 Northwich.
