Walker conquers Ben Nevis

AS thousands took to the streets for Warrington Walking day, one man did a walking challenge of his own up Ben Nevis- to raise funds for
St Rocco’s.
Stephen Fox and his life long friend Andrew Keating, spent five hours in pouring rain and 50 mile an hour winds, to reach the summit, in zero visibility, to raise over £2000 for St Rocco’s.
Stephen said “This is the second challenge I’ve done for St Rocco’s- as I completed the Trans-Pennine trail two years ago. The hospice is a charity close to my heart, as I lost my granddad Fred some years ago and the hospice supported the family throughout that time”
“This year, I wanted to do something really special and raise thousands for the Hospice. I’ve worked at Novelis in Warrington for the past nine years and they have contributed £1000 to my fundraising-making a total raised of over £2000. This will make a real difference to all the patients cared for at St Rocco’s. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my sponsors and supporters so much for their generosity!”
