Drugs warning for town

A WARNING has been issued about the dangers of a new ecstasy-like drug which could be circulating in the Warrington area.
The borough’s Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) is warning of the serious dangers of the tablets which are known by several different names, includes “green Rolexes”, “green dragons” and “red chariots”
New tablets are being created every day with different names, colours and logos and people are being advised to not put themselves at risk by taking something when they do not know what it contains.
The drugs can cause profuse sweating, racing heart beat, extreme muscle tension, delirious ranting and very high body temperature.
If any person is showing signs of any of these symptoms it’s essential to dial 999 and ask for immediate medical assistance, according to DAAT.
