CROSFIELDS girls under 16s soccer team are hoping to follow up their Cheshire league and cup double success at a tournament in Warrington’s twin-town Hilden, Germany.
A number of the squad’s players, along with their manager and parents, attended the Town Hall for a meeting with Mayor, Cllr Peter Carey, who presented them with a plaque on behalf of the mayor and the people of Warrington to present to their hosts in Germany, following a tour of the building.
As well as the football tournament, the short trip will consist of an official reception at the Town Hall in Hilden, and a social evening with members of the partnership committee.
The trip has been organised by manager Colin Osborne, Mick, Ste, Jimmy and Paul Taylor, and they will also visit the neighbouring area of Dusseldorf.
