WARRINGTON Wolves gave away 100 match tickets – to celebrate the first birthdays of the town’s two leisure and culture organisations, Culture Warrington and LiveWire.
The club gifted 50 tickets to each organisation – who is turn gifted them to loyal customers.
Culture Warrington and LiveWire Warrington are only a year old but they have already established themselves as an integral part of life within the town, with notable increases in attendances at library, leisure and cultural facilities.
Both organisations were established in May last year to provide the people of Warrington with the best cultural and leisure activities to ensure there is plenty on offer in the town.
Culture Warrington has recently gained charitable trust status and LiveWire Warrington works as a community interest company.
The lucky recipients of the tickets were welcomed at the home game against Salford City Reds.
Jan Souness, managing director of Culture Warrington and LiveWire Warrington said: “We are very pleased to accept these tickets from Warrington Wolves which shows how well we work with other community groups in Warrington. We look forward to working closely with Warrington Wolves as the town hosts Rugby League World Cup games later in the year”.
A spokesperson for Wolves said: “As a club that prides itself on being at the heart of the borough-wide community, the Wolves appreciate all the hard work that has been put into the two organisations to ensure that leisure and cultural activities thrive in the town”
