TWO Priestley College students have secured football scholarships in the USA.
Warrington-based Joseph Woods, who plays for Grappenhall Sports FC, will head to the States in August to join Neosho County Community College, situated in Chanute, Kansas, to play for the “Panthers” team.
Shaun Abbott, who is from Merseyside and also plays for Billinge FC, will join Christian Brothers University located in South Memphis, Tennessee, where he will play for their “Bucs” football team.
Both players will have the opportunity to combine his University studies alongside playing high level football for the next four years.
The scholarships have been placed through the PASS4Soccer Network, a not-for-profit organisation who assist more than 100 hundred students to find football scholarships in the USA each year.
