Man punched in face

A MAN was knocked to the ground and punched in the face after an argument in Warrington town centre.
The 22-year-old suffered a fractured nose, a black eye and other injuries to his face in the attack in the courtyard area at Friar’s Court, in Barbauld Street.
It happened at about 3.30am on Saturday, May 18.
Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident.
They say the victim was knocked to the ground and then punched in the face as he lay helpless.
He attended hospital for treatment but was not detained.
Two men – aged 26 and 20 – were later released without charge while two other men – both aged 25 – have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and witnessed what happened or has any information which would assist with their enquiries to get in touch.
