WARRINGTON Town’s youngsters celebrated a league and cup double as they

defeated Morecambe 3-1 in the Neil Thomason Cup Final, lifting the

trophy for the second consecutive season.
With their league title rivals Prescot going down 4-0 at Hyde it means Town can celebrate a league and cup double ahead of their final home league game against Curzon Ashton at Cantilever Park on Wednesday, kick off 7.15pm.
The league and cup double is an amazing achievement for an Under 18s team which is only in its second full competitive season.
Second half goals from Chris Bandell, Liam Turner and Oliver Wells, who have all gained first team experience this season, ensured victory over their full-time rivals from Morecambe who grabbed a late consaltion goal.
In a close first half Town squandered several chances but made no mistake in the second half.
Delighted skipper Chris Bibby is pictured right with the cup while team mates celebrate the opening goal (top).
