Health chiefs re-appointed

COMMUNITY Healthcare chiefs serving the Warrington area have been re-appointed by the NHS Trust Development Authority.
Chairman Harry Holden and the four longest-serving non-executive directors of the Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust.
The Trust provides services in the boroughs for Warrington, Wigan, Halton and St Helens and its services include district nursing, community children’s services, podiatry, health visiting and physiotherapy.
In addition, Bridgewater provides specialist community dental services in these boroughs plus Bolton, Stockport, Trafford, Tameside, Glossop and Western Cheshire.
Mr Holden as been re-appointed chairman until March 31 2015 and is
entitled to receive a remuneration of £20,896 per annum.
Vice chairman Dorothy Whitaker, Steve Cash, Karen Bliss and Bob Saunders have all been re-appointed as non-executive directors to serve on the board for further terms. They are entitled to receive a remuneration of £6,096 per annum.
They will serve alongside the Bridgewater board’s other non-executive directors Baron Frankal, Sue Musson and Sally Yeoman who joined the board on January 1 last year.
Mr Holden said: “I am delighted Dorothy, Karen, Steve, Bob will each continue to bring the benefit of their wide ranging experience and expertise to the board of Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust for another four years.
“Their contribution will be invaluable as we continue to respond to patient needs in a challenging financial climate and I look forward to working with them and the rest of the board as we head into the final phase of our application to become a Foundation Trust.”
