DV8's magnificent seven!

WARRINGTON based architecture and interior design practice DV8 Designs is celebrating a magnificent seven years in business.
Since establishing in 2006, the team, led by MD Lee Birchall, has built up an impressive and diverse portfolio, which includes residential, bars, restaurants, hotels, leisure centres, swimming pools, spas, golf clubs & offices.
Lee, who has offices based at Birchwood Park, said: “As a company, we have been fortunate enough to have designed and delivered just about every kind of building you can imagine, from £20,000 projects to those totaling an impressive £35m.
“I think we are increasingly challenging and imaginative but we also pride ourselves on being unpretentious and fun. Thanks to factors like this, we are now expanding our presence in a big way and also getting an increasing number of clients from outside the North West.”
In fact, earlier this year, Lee made the decision to open a second office in London to help cater for increasing demand.
“We are probably in the best position we have ever been in”, he added, “We’ve worked with such a variety of different clients and I’m proud to say that we have a portfolio that includes the likes of Hydes Brewery, Trust Inn’s, PepsiCo and Butlins to name just a few.”
To celebrate seven years in business, Lee has chosen his ‘Magnificent Seven’ projects that DV8 Designs has worked on.
1.Transforming an existing champagne bar at Newmarket Raceground into Adnams Cask Bar, open on both racing and non-race days.
2.Spending a total of eight months working alongside Gullivers Theme Park and Hotel to help create a modern and contemporary feel.
3.The Jolly Thresher in Lymm, which received an attractive makeover including project architecture, interior design and landscaping.
4.Remodeling and refurbishing Ring O’Bells pub in Chester to include a new and improved kitchen facility, and also new ladies and disabled toilets. The work that DV8 Designs did on the scheme has now been nominated in the RICS North West Awards 2013. The awards showcase the region’s top projects and celebrate the most inspirational regional initiatives and developments in land, property and construction.
5.Leading the interior design and fit out of 14 boutique apartments and communal areas set within a delightful period conversion now known as Manera in Deansgate.
6.The transformation of the vacant retail premises on Liverpool Road, just across from Manchester’s iconic Hilton hotel, into the stylish flagship restaurant for Per Tutti Italian.
7.The extensive redevelopment scheme of the existing leisure facility at Waterlane Leisure Centre in Lowestoft, which now provides an unrivalled mix and breadth of activities in a modern, innovative and sustainable leisure facility.
Lee added: “We’re very proud of all the projects that we have worked on and there are so many highlights to choose from.”
