THE annual general meeting of Warrington Literary and Philosophical Society will take place on April 8 at 7.15pm
Guest speaker will be Derek Meakin, MA, M Ed, former lecturer at Liverpool University.
He studied Classics and Philosophy at Oxford, and has a long-standing interest in political philosophy. He will be asking whether the liberal society can survive in the face of its numerous contemporary critics.
The meeting will take place at Friars Green Independent Methodist Church Hall Cairo Street, Warrington.
