Teacher short-listed for top award

A POPULAR Warrington teacher has got through to the finals of a national teaching awards competition.
Andy Wood from Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School is nominated for the award of Teaching Assistant of the Year.
He is a key member of the PE team at the school and coaches rugby and table tennis, and is also a form tutor.
He also is a member of the support team for children with special education needs (SEN).
Results of the 2013 Pearson Teaching Awards will be announced at a ceremony in London on May 13.
