Police appeal following accident

POLICE in Warrington are appealing for information following a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian close to the town centre.
The incident took place at about 3.30pm last Friday (March 15), when a silver Toyota car was in collision with a pedestrian on Cockhedge Way, on a crossing at the rear of Cockhedge Shopping Centre.
Ambulance services attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital suffering from a slight injury to his hand and bruising to his legs, back and arms as a result of the incident. He has since been discharged.
A 32-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further enquiries.
DC Mark Roberts of Warrington CID said: “There were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to contact us.”
Anyone with any information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 598 of 15 March 2013.
