Software firm's partnership coup

WARRINGTON-based software firm Certero has signed a major partnership which will allow its products and solutions to be resold to more than 1,000 organisations.
The firm, based in Trident Business Park, has secured an agreement with FAST Ltd which delivers training, education and consultancy in Software Asset Management (SAM).
Certero develops solutions which help businesses to ensure they have the correct licences for the software they use.
Certero managing director John Lunt (pictured) said its solutions critically help firms to slash costs and avoid potential fines for licence mismanagement.
He said: “We are delighted to have sealed this partnership with one of the UK’s leading authorities in SAM.
“It will act as a springboard to catapult Certero’s SAM solutions to a vast network of new organisations. This collaboration will see the core strengths of Certero’s products combining with FAST’s broad range of programmes and certifications.
“This will be a forceful combination that will help to create the complete integrated SAM solution. Many businesses spend large amounts of money on software licences. However, it is essential that comprehensive and robust SAM solutions are put in place to manage the assets efficiently. Businesses can maximise investments and avoid legal and financial risks. Effective SAM is pivotal to driving operational efficiency and protecting an organisations reputation.
“Larger firms with larger IT infrastructures are of course exposed to greater risk.
“Our latest SAM product AssetStudioV4 is an enterprise solution capable of managing the most sophisticated and complex IT infrastructures. This solution has modular components, across multi platforms and vendors. It automatically analyses licence entitlements and highlights licence deficits and the need for upgrades or downgrades. Fundamentally, this provides users with complete confidence having continuous up-to-date software licence optimisation (SLO).”
