POLICE are investigating after two arson attacks on wheelie bins in the same Warrington street.
The fires were started within two hours of each other in Wellfield Street, Sankey Bridges and involved a total of six bins.
Four bins were torched in the first attack last night and two more were set alight less than two hours later. Fire crews used hand appliances to extinguish the flames.
Anyone with any information regarding either incident is urged to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or Cheshire Police on 101.
In a separate incident, two fire engines went to Liverpool Road, Penketh when fire broke out in the kitchen of a house.
The blaze, which involved a grill pan on a cooker, was out by the time firefighters reached the scene, but a ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property.
