Boy of 13 robbed on footpath

POLICE at Warrington are appealing for information following a robbery in the town last month.
The incident took place on the morning of Monday January 21 on the Black Bear path at Latchford.
At around 11.15am the victim – a 13-year-old boy was walking along the path between Loushers Lane and Knutsford Road when he was approached by a youth who shouted at him and demanded his mobile phone.
He managed to grab the victim’s phone and fled the scene in the direction of Loushers Lane. The boy was not injured in the robbery but was left shaken by what happened.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and has witnessed what happened or knows the identity of the offender to come forward.
A 17-year-old male has been arrested and bailed in connection with this incident.
