Bin roadshows on fortnightly collections

A SERIES of roadshows are starting in Warrington this week to give residents information about plans for alternate weekly refuse collections.
The waste and recycling team is hitting the road to provide support to communities and answer any queries about moving to fortnightly bin collections.
Dates are as follows: Wednesday February 6, Fearnhead Community Centre, 10am to 2pm, Friday February 8, ASDA Westbrook, 10am to 2pm, Monday February 11, Whitecross Centre, 10am to 2pm, Wednesday February 13, Orford Community Centre, 12noon to 3pm, Tuesday February 19, The Gateway, 10am to 2pm, Thursday February 21, Cockhedge Centre, 10am to 2pm, Friday February 22, Whitecross Centre, 10am to 2pm, Monday February 25, St. Margaret’s Hub, 9.30am to 12.30pm, and Tuesday February 26, Orford Community Centre, 10am to 2pm.
Further roadshows are planned for March, April and May.

  1. It’s not roadshows that we require. It’s the return to weekly collections that the Labour Group promised it would retain in its last election manefesto. Some of us do remember and they should take notice that there will be elctions in May!!
