Garage roof blown off in high wind

HIGH winds blew the roof of a garage at Warrington, scattering debris across a busy road.
The incident was in Cromwell Avenue, Callands.
Fire crews were called to the scene and discovered the corrugated roof had been blown off at the Arnold Clarke garage. Debris was scattered across the road and nearby car parks.
A surviving part of the roof was made secure with rope lines.
Police controlled traffic and the highways department were alerted as a lamp post at the scene had been damaged.
The incident was handed over to the borough council building control department.
