Antiques event to be repeated

THE first-ever antiques event at Glazebury-based garden and home centre Bents was so successful it is to be repeated.
A team led by Nick Hall, from the BBC’s Bargain Hunt and Flog It programmes is returning from Wednesday, February 6.
The team from Knutsford-based auction house Frank Marshall and Co will be at the centre between 10am and 4pm to cast their eyes over items brought in by customers and provide a valuation.
Bents’ managing director Matthew Bent said: “Our first antiques event was a huge success with lots of customers coming to the centre with items to be valued. We had some great results and are hoping our forthcoming event will be just as successful.
“We think it’s a good time of year for an antiques’ roadshow as people often have a sort out following Christmas. They might have found something in the attic whilst putting the decorations away and are wondering if there is any value or history to it. Nick and his team will definitely be able to tell them more.”
The event will be taking place in the Fresh Approach restaurant and no booking is necessary. There will be a charge of £2 per item (to be valued, which will be donated to The Christie Hospital – Bents’ charity of the year.
