History in the making

AN art exhibition, called History in the Making, is being held on Tuesday February 19 at The Olive Tree Community Centre and Methodist Church, Penketh.
The show, from 11.30am to 1.30pm, has been initiated by OPEG (Older People Engagement Group West Warrington).
The area has a higher than average older population, and OPEG works with them to reduce isolation and increase confidence.
Each student has worked over 10 weeks to produce artwork of scenes from around this district. They have used photographs from the past and present, supplied by Penketh Heritage Society. The display features a variety of styles of painting.
A light buffet will be provided, and anyone interested in attending should contact Fiona Jenkins at [email protected] or telephone 07748 847527.
