Shopping centre's new arrivals

WARRINGTON’S biggest shopping centre – Golden Square – has announced a batch of new arrivals in the coming month.
As well as the already announced opening of Primark later this year, a new concept New Look store will be opening.
The ultra-modern shop fit will fill two floors and cover 11,000 sq ft of the former Zara store in the main mall.
It will be only the second of its kind in the UK and offer additional ranges and concessions from the New Look portfolio.
JD Sports will also expand into an adjoining unit in the centre and will re-launch in late February.
Centre manager Ian Cox (pictured), says he is hopeful further additions will also be announced shortly.
He said: “These developments will further add to the choice and quality available and help position Warrington as a must-visit destination in the North of England.”
Meanwhile, the centre has reported level footfall figures in the past 12 months compared to 2011, bucking the downward trend in the North West where shopping footfall is reported to have shrunk by five per cent over the year.
Mr Cox added: “It’s been a testing couple of years financially for major brands, independents, for shoppers purse strings and for the retail sector as a whole, so keeping footfall up and the significant addition of new stores hopefully shows that things are really starting to shift in a positive direction for Warrington.”
“We worked with our retailers through 2012 to make sure we continue to give our customers the best experience possible, whilst maintaining value for money.”
