Man attacked and robbed

A MAN was attacked and robbed just after using his mobile phone while walking along a road at Warrington.
The robbery took place in Old Warrington Road, Birchwood shortly after 9pm on Monday, January 7.
Police have issued an appeal for information about the incident.
The victim, a man aged 46, had just finished talking on his phone when he was struck on the head from behind. The offender grabbed the phone and ran off, leaving his victim with scratches to his hand.
The offender was in his 30s, about 5ft 8 inches tall, of slim build. He was clean shaven and spoke with a local accdnet.
He was wearing a black hoody, with the hood up, dark trousers and dark canvas shoes.
