TEAM GB star Maria Bertelli (pictured) will join Warrington Wolves mascot Wolfie to launch a new volleyball club in Warrington.
Warrington Wolves Foundation Volleyball Club, a junior club, will be launched tomorrow (Sunday) at 4.30pm at the Orford Jubilee Hub.
The Wolves Foundation, Bridgewater Diamonds, Warrington School Sport Partnership and Volleyball England have been working together to develop a “volley for all club.”
Everyone is invited to the launch and following the junior training, the Wolves adult volleyball team will play at 6pm.
Stuart Johnson, head of development for Volleyball England, said: “The club will provide an exit route for all young people in Warrington who have played volleyball in schools over the last three years.
“By developing their skills and playing competitive matches, we will hopefully discover the Olympic volleyballers of the future in a safe, friendly, and most importantly, fun environment.”
