Bank rated top for customer satisfaction

WARRINGTON based Handelsbanken, the fast-growing relationship bank, has rated top for customer satisfaction for the fourth year running, in an independent survey of British banks’ personal and business customers.
The 141-year-old universal bank, with a branch on Centre Park in Warrington, emerged head and shoulders above its UK high street competitors, both for satisfaction and loyalty. This is a position Handelsbanken has enjoyed in its home country of Sweden for over 20 years.
The survey confirms that Handelsbanken has managed to increase overall customer satisfaction during another record year of UK expansion. Indeed, since the financial crisis began four years ago, the bank has more than doubled its British branch network, which as well as the Warrington branch now serves individual and corporate customers in 136 other communities throughout Great Britain.
The bank puts customer satisfaction first, and believes local branches are best-placed to make all decisions relating to their customers. Warrington branch staff have full power to advise customers and agree individual product terms and pricing, free from targets, commissions or other bonus incentives.
Lesley Cozens, (pictured) manager of Handelsbanken’s Warrington branch commented: “We are delighted with the survey which confirms our commitment to our customers.”
Handelsbanken has published its latest (Q3) financial results, revealing that lending rose by 25%, and customer deposits by 53%, compared to the same period last year. The bank’s group results also reaffirm its exceptionally strong capital and liquidity positions, and low credit loss ratios, which have earned it amongst the highest credit ratings of any international bank. Handelsbanken was recently judged the strongest bank in Europe, and one of the strongest in the world, by financial information provider Bloomberg.
The Swedish-headquartered bank operates around 750 branches in 24 countries worldwide, with the UK representing its fastest-growing market.
A team of 5 bankers serve customers in Warrington, drawing on a combined 125 years of banking experience. Businesses and individuals can contact the branch by calling 01925 575704 or by visiting www.handelsbanken.co.uk/warrington
