New faces for the festival

TWO joint co-ordinating directors have been appointed to guide Stockton Heath Festival in the coming year.
They are Sue Clarke, of Appleton, previously in charge of fund-raising and public relations and Deborah Cook, of Stockton Heath, previously festival secretary.
They take over from festival founder Tudor Pole and his wife, Joan, who have decided to step down.
An informal party was held at the Stag Inn at Walton to thank Tudor and Joan for all their hard work over the years.
Under Tudor’s leadership, the festival has gone from strength to strength to become one of the biggest events in the Warrington area.
Sue Clarke said: “Tudor and Joan will be a hard act to follow. However with the support of the festival committee and volunteers, local businesses, organisations and community we hope to go from strength to strength and look forward to a great 2013.”
Deborah Cook added: “We hope to continue building on our past success. Our aim is to provide a high quality programme of arts, cultural and heritage events along with family entertainment.”
Information about the festival can be found on their website www.stocktonheathfestival.co.uk
