The club will be starting its second season on October 1.
Member John Kirkham said: “To meet demand this second season has been enlarged to comprise four separate leagues Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon leagues and a Friday evening league. All leagues will comprise 16 teams bowling on four mats for a 23 week league programme.”
He said the club has been invited to enter an annual Challenge Cup competition involving clubs based at Wigan, Widnes and Leigh. One match involving the four clubs will be played at each club’s venue on Saturdays alongside the league programmes.
