THE winner of Britain’s Biggest loser Aaron Howlett was made to feel like a champion when he visited Warrington Wolves’ Halliwell Jones stadium during his “Great Walk” for charity.
Aaron, from Hull, who until he won Britain Biggest Loser, weighed over 30 stone, is raising funds in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Cash for Kids and ABF.
He hopes to raise thousands for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Cash for Kids and ABF The Soldiers Charity. He embarked on 2450 mile Great Walk which began on Saturday, June 9 and said it is his biggest challenge to date.
Aaron said: “I am bowled over the support I’m getting from so many sports teams along my journey. It was great to visit The Halliwell Jones Stadium, the Wolves made me feel like a winner holding on to the 2011 Super League League Leaders Shield!
“I’ve met with families along the way affected by Cystic Fibrosis and I am truly humbled. This is the hardest thing I have ever done but I’m not going to give up now. I’ve been chased by dogs, deer, trod on a grouse while in Scotland and met some amazing people on the way.
“What I need is people to join me along the route to encourage me and also donate to my Just Giving page. I’m being tracked by GPS so visit: www.the-great-walk.com to find out where I am and come and join me!”
Aaron was welcomed by the Wolves who supported his Great Walk for Cystic Fibrosis Trust and wished him all the best on his onward journey.
Aaron will complete 1500 this weekend and hopes to complete his epic 2450 mile adventure (93.5 marathons) from Hull to John O’Groats, John O Groats to Lands End and then BACK to Hull in just 56 days! Aaron is hoped to be joined along the route by a plethora of famous faces from the world of music and television.
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is one of the UK’s most common, life-threatening inherited disease and claims two lives a week in the UK.
