Town centre road works start

0

WORK has started on the renewal of carriageways and footways around Queens Gardens and Palmyra Square in Warrington town centre.
Over the next four months parts of Bold Street, Museum Street, Cairo Street, Egypt Street, Springfield Street and Winmarleigh Street will be affected. Work began this week and is expected to take five months to complete.
It will carried out in sections in order to minimise disruption to the public.
Hours of operation are 8.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday in the main, although some weekend working may be required.
Relevant roads will be closed to vehicles during working hours to allow the works to be carried out, but pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Appropriate diversion routes will be signed for each stage of the works.
