Lakeside Road's Jubilee party

MORE than 280 people attended a Diamond Jubilee street party in Lakeside Road, Lymm.
Residents of Lakeside Road, Baycliffe and Brookhouse Court and their friends came together for the party, organised by Peter Cotton.
Everyone was dressed in red, white and blue and they all feasted on a 160lb hog roast and barbecue, followed by strawberries and cream, plus towers of cup cakes.
Games were organised for the 60 children present, plus face painting, a sing song and music and dancing with music provided by the “Lakeside Road Band”.
Rain in the evening could not dampen spirits and the event was only brought to a close by darkness.
