Light aircraft crash lands

A light air craft crash landed in Croft village, Warrington at the weekend.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when the Jabiru J430 tumbled from the sky at Winwick Lane, Croft. Two fire engines from Warrington rushed to the scene.
No-one was trapped inside but two casualties were assessed for injuries by firefighters until an ambulance arrived.
Following permission of the Civil Aviation Authority, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus isolated the electrics of the aircraft as a precaution.
