DESPITE the threat of showers large crowds were attracted to Grappenhall village for the annual walking day.
Sarah Whiteley (pictured above) was crowned Rose Queen on the school field at St Wilfrid’s Parish Church, taking over from retiring queen Lucy Glover.
Her attendants were Madelyn Ashton, Hope Burton Baddeley, Alexandra Byrne, Mia Gilby and Lucy Newall.
