A TEAM of 40 cyclists from Warrington will cycle 220 miles this weekend to raise more than £10,000 for local charity Brainwave.
They will set off from Bridgewater Place, Birchwood Park at 9.30am on Friday (June 29) and over three days cycle to Bridgewater in Somerset.
Brainwave is a children’s charity to help children with disabilities and development delay.
Suzanne Whitelaw, marketing manager at MEPC Birchwood Park, said: “At Birchwood Park we do our best to support our local community, so it was important to choose a Birchwood-based charity.
“We have seen the difference the Brainwave programme can make to the lives of the children and their families using the therapy centre in Birchwood and we just want to do what we can to ensure as many children as possible can access this fantastic facility. We hope that the £10,000 target we have set for the year will help to do that.”
People can donate to Brainwave via Justgiving.co.uk/BirchwoodPark or contact the North West Centre to make a donation on Tel: 01925 825547.
