Bungalow hit by fire

FIRE crews were called to a semi-detached bungalow at Birchwood, Warrington when fire was discovered in the roof space.
They found a well-developed blaze and tackled it with a hosereel jet.
A hydraulic platform was used to examine the ridge of the neighbouring property for signs of fire, but the blaze had not spread. Three firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were involved in the operation.
The blaze was at a property in Ringwood Close, Gorse Covert.
Fire engines from Birchwood, Warrington and Stockton Heath were involved.
The cause of the outbreak was not been revealed.
