Cash stolen from pensioner's car

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after cash was stolen from a car in Warrington.
The incident took place on the Morrison’s supermarket car park in Greenalls Avenue wgeb a 76-year-old man parked his car two rows behind the drop-off zone at the front of the store
He had left his wallet, containing money, out of view, but when he returned to the car the wallet was missing, along with his mobile phone and spectacles.
The incident took place on Sunday, May 20, between 3pm and 3.30pm.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened to come forward.
PC Deborah Morgan, of Warrington South Neighbourhood Policing Unit said: “We are currently following up a number of lines of enquiry in relation to this incident. The car park would have been busy with shoppers at the time and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have seen anyone acting suspiciously to come forward.”
