ORGANISERS of the popular Stockton Heath Festival are delighted to have attracted a high-profile sponsor for their annual Art Exhibition.
Capital and Provincial Ltd, who own the Victoria Building in Stockton Heath, have agreed to be sponsor. They have also offered cash prizes of £300 for first and £200 for second place winners.
Michael Saunders, director of Capital and Provincial, said: “We are delighted to support the community and be involved with the festival and local artists in this excellent exhibition.
“This year will be the 10th anniversary of the redeveloped Victoria Building. We are proud of our catalytic role in the regeneration of the village which has now been recognised by the Purple Flag award.”
The exhibition will run from July 12 to 14 in Grappenhall Independent Methodist Church, Knutsford Road. There will be opportunity to buy some high quality original work and support local amateur artists.
Organiser Helen Dutton said: “The exhibition is open to all local amateur artists working in all types of media except photography.
“We are inviting all the town’s art groups and local individuals to submit works to us. Last year we had over 120 exhibits and all prizes awarded are judged independently or by public vote.”
Further details about the exhibition and submission of work are available from Helen at [email protected] or telephone 01925 601904.
