Top hotel up for sale

ONE of Warrington’s top hotels is up for sale – after its owners decided it was “no longer central to its future strategy.”
The Park Royal Hotel at Stretton is one of four hotels being sold by the QHotels group.
The AA four-star rated hotel started life as the vicarage to St Matthews’ Church, which is just across the road.
Later it became the Old Vicarage Hotel, but some 20 years ago underwent substantial redevelopment to re-open as the Park Royal International. The word “International” was dropped when QHotels acquired the premises.
Today the Park Royal offers 146 bedrooms and 15 meeting rooms and also has a successful health club with excellent facilities and good membership.
Martin Davis, director and location manager at Christie and Co, who are selling the four hotels for QHotels, said: “With their high quality bedrooms, meeting and conferencing facilities and superb leisure and spa amenities, these four QHotels assets are certain to generate tremendous interest from both existing hotel operators and a variety of investors.”
Christie and Co will be seeking first-round offers for the four hotels, on either a group or individual asset basis, by May 11.
