Shadow minister visits town

LABOUR’s Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Hilary Benn dropped into to support two candidates in the Warrington Borough Council elections.
Mr Benn went on the campaign trail with Chris Vobe, the Culcheth, Glazebury and Croft candidate and Billy Lines-Rowlands who is standing at Poulton North.
He joined Mr Vobe visiting residents of Broadhurst Avenue and Poplar Avenue at Culcheth.
He also enjoyed afternoon tea at a local restaurant.
At Poulton, Mr Benn joined Mr Lines-Rowlands and visited residents on the Sutton Trust housing estate.
Later he joined Labour Party activists at an evening social event where he spoke passionately about the future of local government and took questions from the floor.
