Sure Start parents pick up awards

ALMOST half those attending a day of celebration at Warrington’s Sandy Lane Sure Start Children’s Centre were parents receiving awards for completing an adult learning course.
More than 50 people attended the event – and 25 were parents receiving a certificate.
And there was even more good news as three of the parents have been offered college places for further education.
Other visitors were able to find out about the range of courses available at the centre which includes family numeracy, family first aid and healthy eating.
Some people used the opportunity to look around the refurbished facilities and register as volunteers or parent forum members.
