POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an incident in a Warrington town centre bar.
The incident took place on Sunday, March 25 at around 4.20am in Voodoo Bar, Warrington.
A 21-year-old man was in the bar, speaking to a woman, when he was approached from behind by a man, who grabbed him in a headlock.
He walked the victim towards the foyer where he fell and sustained a number of injuries, including a fractured jaw, a chipped tooth and cuts to his eye and chin.
DC Nat Lewis, who is investigating the incident, said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the bar at the time and may have seen what has happened to get in touch. The bar would have been busy and we would like to speak to as many people as possible. If you have any information, which could assist with our enquiries, please contact us.”
A 20-year-old man was subsequently arrested and then bailed in connection with the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
