Police hunt for armed robbers

DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a Spar shop in Old Hall, Warrington.
The incident took place yesterday evening (March 26) at around 8.30pm when three men, armed with hammers and a knife, entered the Spar Store in Frobisher Court, Old Hall.
They were all wearing face coverings and two of the men were carrying hammers and one was carrying a knife.
They threatened two members of staff, who were inside the shop at the time, and stole a quantity of cash from the tills before fleeing the scene.
No-one was injured as a result of the incident but the staff were left extremely shaken by their ordeal.
The first offender is described as being of stocky build and was wearing black bottoms and a white and blue Adidas top.
The second offender is described as being around 5? 8″ tall and was wearing a black and grey tracksuit and white trainers.The third offender is described as wearing dark clothing and white trainers.
DC Neal Davison said: “Detectives are currently carrying out a number of enquiries in relation to this incident including house-to-house enquiries, CCTV enquiries and any relevant forensic enquiries.
“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information in relation to the identity of the offenders to contact us immediately.
“We are also appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and has seen the offenders fleeing the scene to come forward.”
Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1016 of 26 March.
