Sarah's World Cup dream comes true

VETERAN hockey star Sarah Impey, who last year achieved her ambition of representing her country after 34 years in the sport, has seen another dream come true.
She has been chosen for the 20-strong England squad for the Masters World Cup, to be played in Canterbury in August.
Sarah, from Lymm, said: “It took me 34 years to get selected for England – albeit the Over 45s team.
“Now in less than a year I have played in four internationals and been selected for the World Cup squad.”
Last year, Sarah played against Wales – scoring the only goal in a 1-0 victory – Ireland and Scotland. She also played for the England Lionesses – a team of Over 45s and Over 50s.
This year she hopes to play for the Over 45s England team again, in June in addition to the World Cup – and of course she’ll be turning out for Timperley in the Cheshire Women’s League
Sarah has to meet all her own expenses to play for her country and is sponsored by her dad, Lymm Royal British Legion veteran Ray Massey, and local councillors Sheila and Neville Woodyatt.
But she would like more sponsors and anyone who can help out should call her on 07811 907750.
