Free e book service

TO coincide with World Book Day Warrington libraries are launching a free e-books service this Thursday, March 1.
The service means e-books are available for library card holders to download from www.warrington.gov.uk/libraries anytime. People can browse the library’s catalogue and download e-books to a PC, Mac and many mobile devices all for free.
Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period and there are no late fees.
Cllr Kate Hannon, (pictured right) executive board member for leisure, community and culture, said: “It’s wonderful that this new service will mean library card holders can download e-books for free. We live in a digital age and this new service means it now couldn’t be quicker or easier to find and enjoy the book of your choice online.”
Events to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday across the town will include Rhymetimes at Warrington Library from 9.45-10.15am and at Westbrook Library from 2-2.45pm, plus Storytime at Woolston Library from 10.30-11am.
