Washing machine fire

FIRE crews used breathing apparatus to tackle a blaze involving a washing machine in Appleton Thorn,Warrington on Sunday.
The incident occurred at 9.17pm at a house in Parkland Close, Appleton Thorn.
Two fire engines from Warrington attended and four breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reels to extinguish the fire.
A large industrial fan was used to clear the smoke. Smoke alarms were fitted at the property and did operate.

  1. is this good use of appliancies when there are two based at Stockton Heath? What if a incident happends in the Warrington area? do we wait for Stockton Heath of Birchwood?
