A LAST gasp goal from substitute Dylan Glass ensured Warrington Town extended their unbeaten run to seven games as three players saw red in a scrappy 1-1 draw at Cantilever Park.
It was certainly a case of “after the Lord Mayor’s show” as Warrington were a shadow of the team which hammered Lancaster City 4-0 last Tuesday night.
Joey Dunn kept faith with the same starting eleven from the Lancaster match and although they dominated for long periods they couldn’t find a way through a big and physical Mossley outfit.
The visitors missed two early chances before Warrington got into the game and took the lead just before the break when 6ft 7 striker Tom Denton headed home from a corner.
Content with their 1-0 advantage Mossley sat back as Warrington struggled to find a way through.
Mossley’s Keil O’Brien was the first to see red for a second bookable offence after hacking down Lee Madin.
Then Town’s Michael Duffy and Mossley’s Cavel Coo both saw red as they both jumped in for a 50-50 ball.
Warrington eventually made the extra man count in the 5th minute of injury time when youth team player Glass, who had come off the bench for Liam Shipton, slotted home to ensure Town remain unbeaten in 2012.
Aged just 16 Glass could be Town’s youngest ever goal scorer.
