Contact centre to expand

0

LESS than five years after it opened, Warrington’s Customer Contact Centre needs to expand to cope with demand.
As a result, planning chiefs have given the go-ahead for the change-of-use of a former shop in Bank Street as a satellite contact centre.
Members of the borough council’s planning committee were told that due to increasing public use, the existing contact centre in Horsemarket Street, needed to increase its facilities and accessibility but was unable to do so because of size restrictions.
The new centre will back onto Warrington Market and is surrounded by numerous vacant shops and commercial premises.
It will be refurbished and fitted with new, automatic opening double doors.
The new centre will open from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
