Anniversary fundraisers

MEMBERS of the Olive Tree Community Centre at Penketh Methodist Church in Warrington have organised two fundraising events and a flower festival to mark its first year of opening.
Church member Margaret Docherty said: “Penketh Methodist Church is holding a fantastic Flower Festival to mark the first year in our new building of church and community centre.”
It will be from Thursday March 22 to Sunday March 25. Anyone interested in helping should contact the church.
There will also be a fashion show and clothing sale at the centre on Monday March 5 from 7.30pm, with clothes sold at up to 75 per cent reduction.
Tickets are £3.50 and are available from the church office, telephone 729895. Money raised will go towards the building fund.
A Murder Mystery Afternoon Tea is also planned on Sunday April 15 from 2.30pm on the theme of Titanic. Tickets are £10 each and available from Gill Dickinson on 729895 or from the church office.
