Girl attacked in club

DETECTIVES are appealing for information from clubgoers after a 19-year-old girl was attacked in Warrington town centre.
The girl was assaulted inside the Showbar at Friars Gate at about 1.50am on Saturday, January 14.
She suffered a broken nose, a deep cut to her right eye and a fractured cheekbone. She was taken hospital to be treated for her injuries.
A police spokesman said: “The victim suffered facial injuries as a result of the incident and is receiving ongoing treatment.
“Officers are carrying out a number of lines of enquiry in relation to the incident.
“The bar would have been busy at the time and we are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.”
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further enquiries.
